Biography

Sandra Emme is Industry Leader Cloud Enterprise at Google Switzerland GmbH and member of the board of directors of several listed Swiss companies.

Since 2011, she has worked at Google Switzerland GmbH, Zurich, in various functions in Global Business Development, from Industry Head Luxury and Finance to Industry Leader Automotive. In this role, she primarily worked on the online and digital strategy of global companies. In 2019, as Industry Leader Cloud Enterprise, she took over the area of platforms, IT infrastructure, machine learning and cloud for global corporations from the manufacturing industry.

Prior to joining Google, Sandra Emme was a serial entrepreneur in the IT industry, successfully building technology companies in Europe, APAC as well as the US. 

Sandra Emme gained her first board experience at Panalpina (2018-2019) and Metall Zug AG (2019-2022) and has been acting as a board member of Belimo AG since 2018. She has been on the board of digitalswitzerland since 2020 and took over her mandate on the board of Zehnder Group AG in 2022.

As a member of the board of directors, her focus areas are operational excellence, business development and digital strategies, in addition to overall strategy. She is also an expert in disruptive business models, technology innovation, agility and cultural change. 

As a member of the board of directors, Sandra Emme makes sure to exemplify a good feedback culture, to communicate transparently and, in particular, to always put her own interests in the background. She is good at bringing people together, building a culture of trust, listening and also taking a step back at the right moment.

Sandra Emme holds a Master of Arts in Business and International Management from the Hochschule Bremen (Germany) and the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Marseille (France), a degree in Leading Digital Business Transformation from the IMD Business School in Lausanne and Singapore, and a degree from the Swiss Board School at the University of St. Gallen. She has been recognized as one of Switzerland's "Top 100 Women in Business" every year since 2018.
