Monique Bourquin

Biography

Monique Bourquin spent her entire childhood in France, where she obtained her baccalauréat at the age of 17 before studying economics at the University of St. Gallen. After graduating, she worked as a management consultant for PwC. She then pursued a successful career in executive positions in marketing and sales at Knorr, Rivella and Mövenpick Foods Switzerland, most recently as Country Director Switzerland. Monique Bourquin then moved to the Executive Board of Unilever Switzerland, where she first served as Head of Sales before assuming overall responsibility as Country Manager. She then moved up to become CFO in Hamburg for the Unilever D-A-CH region.
Today she is president of Promarca and on the board of the Swiss marketing company GfM. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Emmi AG since 2013 and of Straumann Holding and the family-owned company Kambly SA since 2017. From June 2019 she will become a member of the Board of Directors of Weleda AG. In addition, she has recently joined the Board of Trustees Committee of Swisscontact and is a lecturer in change management for the Executive MAS Programme at ETHZ.
