Isabelle Welton graduated in law from the University of Zurich and started her professional career at Citibank in Tokyo, responsible for the bank's custody and securities lending products. Back in Switzerland, she worked for Zurich Insurance as Head of Marketing and then at IBM for almost ten years in various management positions. Among other things, she was the first female General Manager of IBM Switzerland. She returned to Zurich Insurance in 2012 to become Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the Group Executive Committee. She was elected to the Board of Directors of Georg Fischer in 2012 and to the Board of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung in 2013. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Avobis Group since 2019 and of Siegfried Holding AG since 2020. She is also Vice-Chairwoman of Swisscontact, and serves on the Board of Trustees' Committee of the Lucerne Festival and of SOS Kinderdorf Schweiz.

Isabelle Welton is the owner of Rubidia GmbH, a consulting firm with a focus on corporate culture and change processes. Today, she brings her experience in global management positions and strategic issues to bear as a board member in the nomination and compensation committees.  

As Chairman of the Board of Directors, she would ensure that the Board, as a diverse team, sets the right long-term strategic course and that it supports the CEO and management in successfully implementing this strategy based on its own experience and expertise.
