Ingrid Deltenre

Biography

After studying education, journalism and biological anthropology in Zurich, Ingrid Deltenre worked as Secretary General of the Swiss Press Association. She then moved to the Swiss publishing house Ringier, where she first worked in the business development department and later took over the publishing management of the business newspaper CASH. After a stint on the management board of Swisscard, she acted as CEO of Publisuisse for four years. In January 2003, she was finally elected Director of Schweizer Fernsehen and held this position until 2009. From 1 January 2010 to summer 2017, she took on the role of Director General of the European Broadcasting Union EBU in Geneva.

Today, she is a member of the Board of Directors of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (since 2014), Givaudan (since 2015), Deutsche Post DHL Group (since 2016), Agence France Press (since 2017), Sunrise Communications AG (2018-2020) and Akara Funds AG (since 2020). She is also a member of the Foundation Board of Schweizer Berghilfe and the Executive Board of Executive Education at the University of Zurich. In 2019, she was named Board Member of the Year.
