Biography

Barbara Lambert is a certified public accountant and holds a degree in economics from the University of Geneva. She looks back on a successful career in consulting. She was Senior Partner at Arthur Andersen/Ernst & Young (EY), Switzerland, with a strong focus on companies in the financial industry. Among other positions at EY, she was Managing Partner Assurance and Advisory Services - Financial Services and a member of the board of directors. In 2008, she joined Banque Pictet, where she became Head of Group Internal Audit and then served as Group Chief Risk Officer, Member of the Executive Committee and Equity Partner from 2014-2018.

In 2018, Barbara Lambert was appointed to the board of Deutsche Börse AG to become Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Risk Committee. As Banque Pictet did not allow an external board of directors mandate, she was offered to join the board of directors of Banque Pictet instead of the operational role. This was a very good start to her board of directors career. Since 2022, Barbara Lambert has been a member of the board of UBS Switzerland AG, where she chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Risk Committee. Furthermore, she has been a member of the board and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of Synlab AG in Munich since 2021 and a member of the board of directors and Chair of the Audit Committee of Implenia AG since 2019.

Barbara Lambert loves challenges. She loves to influence and give direction to a company. It is important to her that boards have good diversity in the broadest sense and that they have practical sustainability and digitization experience. For Barbara Lambert, a company's value culture is an important criterion for taking on a board of directors mandate. Integrity, respect, and entrepreneurial spirit are values that she also exemplifies today as a board member.
