Andrea Rytz trained as a specialist in medical-technical radiology at the Inselspital Bern. She later completed a Master of Advanced Studies in Health Service Management and an Executive Master in Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences St. Gallen. She has been Director of the Schulthess Clinic in Zurich since 2016 and was previously Hospital Director at the Hirslanden Klinik Belair in Schaffhausen for four years. During this time, she also acted as a member of the Hirslanden board of directors. Together with her team, she has successfully restructured the Schulthess Clinic in various administrative areas in recent years.
In her first board mandate, Andrea Rytz was involved with IVF Hartmann AG in Schaffhausen. Today, Andrea Rytz is a member of the board of directors of Künzli SwissSchuh AG, a privately owned Swiss company with a long tradition, a member of the hospital board of the Integrated Psychiatry Winterthur (ipw), and a member of the board of directors of Suvretta House in St. Moritz.
For Andrea Rytz, the special attraction of a board mandate lies in being able to actively shape the strategic direction of a company. For Andrea Rytz, it is important that the right to have a say on a board of directors is guaranteed at all times and that the entire board of directors is represented in a balanced way in terms of diversity.
